Javier Loya has spent decades building companies that anticipate where the market is going. Now, with GETCHOICE!, he’s applying that experience to help large businesses optimize utility costs and infrastructure at scale.

GETCHOICE!, a software optimization firm launched in the early 2000s, originally emerged from Texas’s power deregulation era. Over time, it has grown into an independent company serving clients across multiple sectors. The platform focuses on streamlining the procurement and usage of essential services, such as energy, telecom, and waste, for enterprise operations with distributed locations and high consumption needs.

Loya’s background in commodity trading gave him early insight into market volatility and resource management. That foundation shaped GETCHOICE!’s focus on helping companies not only secure better contracts but also manage their internal operations more efficiently. As industries place increasing pressure on data centers and digital infrastructure, GETCHOICE! is positioning itself as a critical partner in long-term utility strategy.

Across all of his ventures, Loya has maintained a disciplined approach to leadership. He prioritizes hiring people who align with company culture and holds teams to clear standards of performance and accountability. In his view, strong leadership starts with consistency, especially during times of rapid growth or operational pressure.

Loya’s work extends well beyond the boardroom. As a long-time limited partner of the Houston Texans and the NFL’s first Hispanic team owner, he has played a visible role in shaping leadership representation in professional sports. He was brought into the franchise during its founding era in the early 2000s, in part to help ensure the team reflected the diverse population of Houston.

More recently, he has taken on an ownership role with the Houston Sabercats, a professional rugby team competing in Major League Rugby. The team has gained momentum in recent seasons and is helping raise the profile of rugby within the U.S. sports landscape. Loya sees the sport’s team-first ethos and physical intensity as a natural fit for the kind of culture he encourages in business.

Philanthropy remains a significant part of his focus. He actively supports education initiatives and minority entrepreneurship, particularly in underserved communities. Loya views economic opportunity as a long-term investment and regularly contributes to programs designed to increase access to education and career advancement.

With his children in college and one company recently sold, Loya is dedicating his energy to scaling GETCHOICE! and supporting his charitable initiatives. He remains closely involved in the company’s next phase of growth, while continuing to serve as an advocate for representation and equity across business and sports.

Through each chapter, Loya has maintained a consistent pace. His strategy has always centered on structure, preparedness, and the daily discipline of building.
