Episode 10 of The Right Wing Voice podcast, hosted by Alexander Spellane, featured guest Jay Furman, the Republican nominee for Congress in Texas. Furman is a champion for strong conservative principles, including Trump-era border security measures and the ways in which gold can empower conservatives and boost the economy.

Furman is a passionate advocate for a return to Trump-era politics, expressing the need to go back to these policies. “He had it right, almost completely right. We need to finish the border wall… We need to secure our border,” stated the Texas Republican nominee.

The impact of illegal immigration is a polarizing issue. Advocates for securing the border, like Trump, argue that illegal immigration affects job opportunities, wages, and public resources for American citizens. On the other hand, while many immigrants are drawn to the U.S. by the promise of higher wages, Trump supporters believe the presence of these undocumented workers could potentially depress wages and working conditions for all employees in certain industries.

Furman’s return to Texas after his nearly three-decade-long military career prompted a pursuit in politics, with the border situation ultimately pushing him into action. Emphasizing the urgent need to finish the border wall, Furman stated that he is “a retired naval officer [who came] home to my home state of Texas and found the place completely ruined by Bidenonimics and Biden’s attack to the Southern border is almost complete.”

Outlining his dedication to reviving Trump-era policies, the retired naval officer’s primary focus is on finishing the border wall and enhancing border security that could safeguard the country from illegal immigration and related threats. Furman argues that potentially enhancing national security through stricter border control is foundational to preserving the nation’s prosperity. With an approach rooted in the conviction that national security and economic freedom go hand in hand in maintaining a strong and free America, Furman stated, “security and economy are two sides of the same coin.”

Spellane’s interview with Furman also touched on the nominee’s thoughts on gold as an economic tool, discussing the ways in which the precious metal can empower conservatives by bolstering economic stability and sovereignty. Gold investments can, according to Furman, create more economic independence that leads to possible conservative empowerment.

With the ability to use gold as actual currency in Texas, when discussing how precious metals have benefited his campaign in his interview, Furman said, “Gold is power for this campaign. A little plug for owning physical gold – and I actually sold a little lower, because of what we all experienced in the last six months – I kept physical, precious metals, gold, and silver… and I sold it from the Texas depository to run this campaign.”

Furman views gold as a protector against government overreach and economic instability, arguing that it provides an element of financial independence that strongly aligns with conservative values – which the nominee hopes to return Texas to.

Furman’s insights provide a clear vision for a more secure and prosperous America that aligns with conservative principles, with Furman stressing the urgency of action to protect that nation’s borders, stating, “We can do this. We can absolutely lock down the border for the illegal aliens.”
